FAQ

Frequently asked questions

Who is the Black Belt training for?

The program is designed for experienced Green Belts, project leaders and method experts responsible for complex or cross-functional improvement projects

What prerequisites should I have?

Green Belt knowledge, practical project experience and confidence with basic statistics are expected. A suitable project is required for certification

How does a Black Belt differ from a Green Belt?

A Black Belt uses a substantially deeper statistical toolkit, leads more complex projects, applies Design of Experiments systematically and takes on coaching and change responsibilities

Which statistics are covered in more depth?

Key topics include advanced hypothesis testing, multiple and logistic regression, ANOVA, measurement system analysis, process capability, multivariate methods and statistical process control

What role does Design of Experiments play?

DoE is a central part of the Improve phase. Participants learn to plan factorial experiments, interpret effects and interactions and derive robust process windows

Are coaching and change management part of the program?

Yes. In addition to method expertise, the program addresses Green Belt coaching, stakeholder management, milestone reviews and sustainable organizational implementation

Can the training be delivered in-house?

Yes. The program can be adapted to existing Belt structures, internal standards, project portfolios and industry-specific requirements

Which software is used?

Minitab is particularly suitable for the advanced statistical work. Depending on the use case, Excel, JASP or other agreed tools can be added
