Statistical data analysis is an important part of Green Belt and Black Belt projects. In addition to established tools such as Minitab and JMP, we now also integrate JASP into our Six Sigma training programmes.
JASP is open-source statistical software with an accessible graphical interface. It allows participants to apply many statistical methods used in Six Sigma without depending on a commercial software licence.
Why use JASP in Six Sigma training?
The focus of our training is not the software itself, but the correct application of statistical methods. JASP offers several practical advantages:
- Ready to use: Participants can continue working with the software after the training
- Accessible interface: Less time spent learning the software and more time working with data and process questions
- Open source: A practical option for organisations that want to make statistical analysis available to more employees
JASP, Minitab or JMP?
JASP does not replace the tools we already use. Minitab and JMP remain part of our statistical and Six Sigma expertise, particularly for organisations that already work with these platforms.
JASP adds another option, allowing the software to be selected according to the organisation, application and available resources.
Regardless of the tool, the objective remains the same: analyse data correctly, interpret results reliably and turn statistical evidence into better process decisions
